The 2005 season produced small yields as a direct result of cool weather during December 2004 when the vines were flowering. Warm summer and autumn temperatures allowed the Cabernet Franc to ripen fully.
The 2005 Vavasour Rosé was harvested in the cool of evening. The grapes were crushed and the juice remained in contact with the skins for 12 hours.
The resulting wine is 'salmon' pink in colour. The nose is lifted strawberries and summer fruits. The palate shows strawberries and cream flavours with a long soft finish.
Enjoy the 2005 Vavasour Rosé lightly chilled at summer barbeques, or as an aperitif.
This wine is ready to drink on release.
