Vavasour Awatere Valley Riesling 2006
Truwines Keith Stewart , 5th Sept 2006
Look: Pale straw.
Smell: Very fine, lush nose has juicy fruit and mild grapiness with a glimmer of steel. Taste: Fine, if sweet, impact is fresh and true, with considerable mid palate depth and a cool purity of flavour. Finish is fresh, succulent and sustained, never letting the sweetness interfere with its sense of proportion. Stylish, delicious: it will gather even more grace with time.

Very pale lemon. A delicate subtle wine with a fresh grapey, Muscat floral note on the nose, low alcohol and racy acidity. Could almost be from the Mosel - a really light, bright wine.
