Vavasour Awatere Valley Pinot Noir 2003
Marlborough Express - November 3, 2005
This full-bodied wine style delivered excellent length, from one end of the palate to the other - and beyond to the long, warming finish.
This is a stunning example of Marlborough pinot noir - a real humdinger and good value.
Vavasour Awatere Valley Pinot Noir 2003
Otago Daily Times - Charmian Smith

"Dark, ripe fruit with spice and a savoury undertone suggesting dried herbs and marmite, makes this wine delicious, but I loved its wonderful texture, like heavy velvet and crinkly taffeta, and its satisfying length and aftertaste. It's a complex wine which kept getting better over several days. It will cellar well for 2-3 years."

"Anyone who relishes a Pinot Noir with a bit of guts will enjoy this one made from low-cropping vines in Marlborough's Awatere Valley. As chokka as it looks with black cherries and plums. Seductively textured with appealing herby/savoury characters. Good value."
